===========================
Please look at each of the 10 'former Bremerhavener's' in Need of Help as listed below based on information we have collected.
Now comes the difficult part -- distribution of donations. No matter how much time we spend in analysis, and trying to be as fair and just as possible, we will never be able to please everyone. Even the limited damage information that we have may not be entirely correct. Someone with a tree through their roof may have as much or more damage as someone with 2' of water in their house. We have no way of accurately assessing each case. Even Insurance adjusters often don't agree.
Also, some of the folks may brush off their damage as being 'minimal' (at least compared to all the losses we see on TV) when in fact they may need more than we know about.
So based on what we know, and our best knowledge and judgment, here is my proposal for each of the 10 families that we know about that has the most damage. We have $4,900.00 generously donated by concerned Bremerhaveners. Each of you have some special knowledge and experience, logic and intelligence, that can contribute to our final allotment of donations. Please send me your comments and suggestions so we can distribute the funds as soon as possible. While it is certainly not a lot of money, it will be appreciated as they must have many personal expenses that they didn't know about and not covered by insurance or FEMA.
Even if I get your answers back this week, it will still take some time for Arlen to get the checks written and sent to these ten families.
Thank you all very much for your concern and help.
Ron
P.S, - (I don't think it needs to go beyond this committee how much was distributed to each family.)
