Reunion 2006
(41st - 6913th - 7011th Air Force Squadrons)

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

BREAKING REUNION NEWS!
Our Reunion Hotel has had a Name Change:
Formerly called
the South Coast Hotel and Casino, the new name is:

   South POINT Hotel and Casino

========================================
Everything else remains the same. I just called their toll-free phone number:  (866) 796-7111 and confirmed this information. (Apparently, the managers bought the hotel from the franchise last Thursday or Friday and made the name change).

Please don't be concerned about this great upcoming 11th Reunion - We always have a wonderful time, and a small thing like a name change will have no effect.

NOTE: If you plan to take a taxi from the airport, you may want to insure that the driver knows about the name change last week, and write down the hotel address:
        9777 Las Vegas Blvd South (702) 796-7111

USAF 'Thunderbirds' - Air Show at Nellis AFB
(15 mi. NE of LAS, Nellis AFB is the home base of the 'Thunderbirds')

(In 1950, the Army Air Field was named for 1st Lt. William Harrell Nellis, shot down and killed
flying his P-47 in support of the troops involved in the Battle of the Bulge of WWII.)

Hoover Dam Tour = $35.00 ea. - (Reservation Form).
'Thunderbirds' Air Show at Nellis AFB - ($5.00 ea.
Reservation Form, if you are interested in a tour bus to the show).

TRANSPORTATION - McCaren International Airport (LAS) - See above - "Phone ahead your flight and arrival time."
SUGGESTIONS - As the date nears for our 2006 convention, check with your travel agency or the Internet for a schedule of the great entertainment, and make your reservations early to see some great shows. NOTE: Many shows sell out well in advance, so plan ahead.
FREE Stuff - Downtown Las Vegas offers a 4-block covered Light and Sound show depicting Blue Angels flying the length of the street and other exciting activities.  - Most shows in the hotel lounges are free, and many successful entertainers today got their start in the lounges. See future stars today.
M & M World - If you have grandkids, or you love chocolate, or both, this 4-story business is a "Must Visit". (One room has floor to ceiling displays of different colored M & Ms (other than you'll ever find in the packages) which you can purchase by the pound.
Like MUSIC? - Remember Liberace? His museum is in Las Vegas and if you want to see the collection of a multi-millionaire eccentric collector, "ya gotta see this place!"
